Philadelphia Inquirer - Subscription Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

For 5 of last 8 days no paper, not even a replacement after many phone calls. To be honest street is under constructions (gas mains) but USPO, UPS and other services park near barrier and walk the block. One delivery person told me she wasn't walking any block. I reported all to the paper both phone and email but no help. Finally today after I requested to cancel conscription the same person as before phoned and said she just left a paper after walking a block. she did leave a paper. However I spent hours trying to get paper over past week.

I am becoming totally disgusted with the Philadelphia Inquirer Delivery service. This is the second time I did not receive the Sunday paper.

The worst part is trying to reach someone to talk to. I called on Sunday the 21st and left a message (after waiting on hold forever) that I had not received my Sunday delivery.

I finally received some sort of robotic message that it would be delivered on Monday the 22nd. It is now Monday August 22nd and I just found out I will be unable to receive the Sunday paper because I did not call before 8:30 AM.

Terrible delivery

Some time ago I cancelled my paper because I could not stop delivery when I was away on trips - even though I got messages confirming my request to stop delivery. Recently I decided to give the paper another chance and agreed to have delivery on Sunday only. That was a month ago. I received the paper the first week - not the second and when I complained about it, I was assured it would be taken care of!!!! The following week I received the paper and this weekend I received only the trash/ads on Saturday. I have had it with the Inquirer - the paper certainly isn't good enough to tolerate the frustration.

No delivery

My carrier quit last week and I can not get a paper delivered. I called the Inquirer every day last week to complain that I am not receiving my paper. After speaking to several people, some in the home delivery department and some in distribution, I was assured I would receive my paper. I got a paper on Saturday and Sunday. But today no paper. I called Lisa who gave me her number and assured me the problem would be resolved. Not only would she not take my call but the paper never came. If there is no paper tomorrow I am canceling my subscription. I have been getting the paper delivered for 30 years. It is a disgrace that this company is so incompetent!!

TV Weekly

I have called 3 times stating I have not received my TV weekly that should have been delivered on Sunday June 5, 2016. The customer service rep assured me it would be delivered within 90 minutes and it did not. My next call was on Monday, June 6th and was advised it was to late to be delivered that day but they assured me it would be delivered by Tuesday morning. Unfortunately it was not delivered. Both calls were made by 9:00 am. I have called TV weekly directly and complained. This has to be addressed. This is not the first time this has not been delivered. I have paid for two years and I expect to receive what I have paid for. Please address this problem with the delivery person. She is local.

Short Review on May 30, 2016

I am frustrated with the new format and location of Cryptoquote! Today's puzzle even had a mistake because of the narrow column..The t in "the" was added to the word "of"...making it "oft he" instead of "of the". Please put the Cryptoquote back where it was!

Philadelphia Inquirer Comics Review

I love puzzles but the Inquirer just relocated the cryptoquotes to another page in the most bizarre format.... columnized....weirdest thing I've ever seen. Sentences should be read lect to right, down and over.....not down and down.

All mouth no delivery

We moved across the courtyard to a new apartment and haven't received a paper in five days. Of course, every time I call the 800 number with a "delivery problem" I get the answer that it will be reported. And if I call early enough they will get a paper to me that day. Never happens. My husband is mostly homebound and enjoys the paper but we are certainly not respected as subscribers. Is there any recourse or should I keep calling?

It is most likely the fault of whomever delivers the paper---unreliable. I would just drop the paper and have hubby read the news on the internet.

Delivery complaint

I did not get delivery for three days during last big snowstorm including the Sunday edition. I did not receive Sunday's edition on 2-14-16 nor today's 2-16-16. I just paid $182.00, for what? I want a refund for all non deliveries or I will cancel my subscription in the future. I am also to understand that this a morning paper which should be delivered to the consumer BEFORE they leave for work. Most employed individuals are getting ready to leave at 7:00 o'clock in the morning. I usually get delivery after 8:00 or 9:00.

Make Public Aware of Bill Clinton

I am a conservative and have a 35 year history reading the Inquirer. However I am for the first time considering canceling my subscription. I am wondering if you will ever give the Bill Clinton sexual charges its just time and mention. I can accept your liberal lean given the market you serve and your history. But, Bill Clinton's illegal and disgusting history is a significant situation for today's voters to be aware of. I find it appalling that I have not seen any coverage of it in the Inquirer. Please do the new generation of voters a favor and just inform them, which is what good journalism is supposed to be about. Sincerely, Ed Orme in Audubon, Pa.

Does any delivery person read English

I cannot bend to pick newspaper off the floor. I have posted signs numerous times and it is sometimes put on a table by the door sometimes. No sign, on the floor. Phone call, e-mails- " I will do my job and see that the papers are delivered where you need to have them." Nobody in customer service does their job, or delivery service does not understand English. What can I do? ps. I live in a hi-rise YOu want at least 80 words?? I cannot do that without using some 4 letter words that you should not print. This is incredible. I cannot submit unless I add more words. Just put paper on the table.......................................................................................................................................................................................................

Paying for Papers on hold

I put my paper on hold on August 8 to the 24th. Even though I am not getting the paper I have to pay for it. Nice little scam. They said it is page 2 in a little box at the bottom of the page. Never notified just put this little box at the bottom of the page 2. I guess we were to just see this little box to find out their new rule on holds. I called to say my CC had just been charged $25 and found this out. I canceled my subscription and found out I would only get back $15.00.
